David has enjoyed a professional singing and acting career for over 35 years, performing in nearly every country in Europe as well as all over the world. He has entertained audiences from Hawaii to Hong Kong, South Africa to Singapore, Las VegasJapan, and many places in between. David ’s extensive Great American songbook repertoire has been backed by Delfeayo Marsalis, the Richard Brown Orchestra, the Conrad Johnson Big Band as well as solo performances in his one man shows “RetroLounge” and his autobiographical musical journey, “The Magic of Yes.” David has starred on Broadway (Damn Yankees), Off-Broadway (Return to the Forbidden Planet, Pageant), National and European tours and AD Players’ pre-Broadway World Premiere “Miss Maude,” where he play five different characters. He has performed in productions on regional theatre stages such as Seattle Rep, Arena Stage, McCarter Theatre in Princeton, Theatre Under The Stars, Main Street Theater and Texas Repertory Theatre. His musical play “The Open Door,” produced at the Sanford Meisner Theatre in New York, won nominations for Best Music and Best Costumes for the Straw Hat Musical Theatre Awards. Film credits include “Theft,” “Abrupt Decision," “Foster Care,” “Good After Bad.” Television appearances include playing Hugh Hefner in “Murder Made Me Famous,” two seasons on the tween sitcom “The Wannabes,“ “HBO’s Hardcore TV,” as well as numerous commercial, voiceover, and industrial film credits. He enjoys his work as Writer-in-Residence at Texas Children's Hospital, working with young kids undergoing chemotherapy treatments, and teaches creative writing camps and his “Silent Storytelling-Let’s Make a Movie” workshops with Writers In The Schools/Rice University. David serves on the Board for Express Children’s Theatre. Near and dear to his heart is helping special needs children express themselves through music with his program Expressivo at Every Child Counts, a school for special students in the Bahamas, whose choir has won several Bahamian national arts award under his leadership.
